Our Team at Otto Family Law

While completing her Associate of Applied Sciences in Veterinary Technology, Alyssa found the legal field a bit more interesting. Alyssa was hired at Otto Family Law as a legal assistant in September 2020, and was promoted to office manager in November 2021. She enjoys supporting the team and clients in her new role.

Alyssa relies on her 15 years of customer experience and three years of leadership experience to help Otto Family Law’s clients who are going through unfamiliar situations. Alyssa enjoys the close-knit team at Otto Family Law and appreciates all the hard work they do for their clients.

Alyssa and her fiancé Fred enjoy working in their yard together gardening, as well as traveling together with their dog Kat, and going to concerts. She also finds time for crafting, reading, playing games and spending time with her family and friends.

After graduating with her Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from Chippewa Valley Technical College in 2020, Robin joined the team at Otto Family Law, S.C., as a Paralegal, later being promoted to the Head of the Paralegal Department.

Robin enjoys working in family law, as it offers a wide variety of case types, from simple to complex. She particularly enjoys getting to know the clients and their stories, as well as taking pride in being able to care for them in what is often a very stressful time in their lives. She puts her expertise to use by acting as bridge between the client and the attorney, specifically in keeping the lines of communication open and making sure the client’s interests are put first.

Robin’s free time is spent on her hobby farm with her husband, Ben, their four children, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 3 goats. She is also a former founding member for a Mental Health Peer support Group in her county and loves to do volunteer work. She particularly enjoys organizing local fundraisers and charity events for various causes in her community. As a family, they love spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers, snowmobiles, sledding, traveling, and camping.

Karlyn completed her Associate Degree in Marketing Management in 2010. After completing her degree, she owned several bars and restaurants in Menomonie WI. One of which was a cat café which worked with the Dunn County Humane Society to help cats who need homes get adopted. She still volunteers with the Dunn County Humane Association for events and fundraisers. Karlyn joined Otto Family Law in September 2022.

Karlyn feels that the most rewarding part of working at Otto Family Law is being able to help guide people through a confusing time in their lives. She also appreciates that Otto Family Law adapts to the changing needs of our clients.

Karlyn has two cats, Ripple and Althea, who mean the world to her. Outside of work and volunteering she enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family.
